Beowulf Classline Abilities
Beowulf Classline Abilities
Valhallan Dissonance
- Valhalla Power +110%
- Low HP stats +50%
- Follower: Stats +110% / Act +12%
This ability is what allows you to "redline" (explained in detail above). As you approach 1 HP gaining 0 -> 50% all stats "Valhalla Power" is also in effect. This is your pets redline, providing them 0 -> 110% all stats at the same time.
(Note: There is no visual indicator for "Valhalla Power")
Valhallan Protection
Follower Protect +12%
No matter what follower you have equipped thanks to this ability there is always a 12% chance each turn that it will completly protect you from an attack. This stacks with a followers innate protect chance, as well as call of jord.
Valhallan Training
Follower / Summon AI +5%
Follower AI helps your pet choose better skills/spells based on the situation (This is currently quite buggy, will add a better description eventually).
Bestial Bonds
Bestial Bonds (BB) is a (semi-)exclusive ability to the valhallan classline (the sole exception being the ★8 and ★9 "god classes" and amity's that grant BB1) that can do various things from giving you and your follower stat boosts, extra orns/gold, and even bonus rewards from memory hunting. Each follower has 3 seperate levels of bestial bond, how many you have access to depends on.
(Note: the bestial bond bonus only effects the numbers within brackets in a followers codex entry under "bestial bond")
- Bestial Bond I: ★3 -> ★5
- Bestial Bond II: ★6 -> ★9
- Bestial Bond III: ★10
For an overall view of the different bestial bonds for each follower check out "Ornapedia's pet sheet"
Ascension Synergy
For every ascension level (AL) you have your follower will also get the "+1% to all stats per level"
Hybrid Monster
Based on your level of "Hybrid Monster" your attack stat will increase by a % of your magic stat, and your magic stat will increase by a % of your attack stat. These values depend on the level of hybrid monster you have (Shown in italics below).
- Hybrid Monster I: 20%
- Hybrid Monster II: 25%
- Hybrid Monster III: 40%
Misc Beowulf Information
What are "Call" / "Ballad" Spells?
Call spell's ("Ballad" is just the lower tier of "Call") provide a in-battle permanent buff that will increase/decrease the act rate of your pet in regards to preforming a certain action. action based off which is used/active. The percentage chance of your follower preforming said action is based on the level of call used.
You can only have one call active at a time. Using a different call than one that is currently active will replace it, using the same call skill as what is currently active will cause you to lose it (better described as "turn it off").
These are spells that are only effective when used by valhallan classes, with only a --% chance to to work on non-valhallan classes, --% chance when used by Base Beowulf, 100% chance when used by BeoA, and a --% chance when used by BeoH. (%'s to be added at a later date)
- Ballad of Rand
- Rand II: 10%
Lower tier spell that increases your pets overall "Act Rate".
- Ballad / Call of Skadi
- Skadi I: 20%
- Skadi II: 50%
- Skadi III: >100%
Increases the act rate of your pets offensive/damaging skills or spells.
- Ballad / Call of Brynhild
- Bryn I: 15%
- Bryn II: 20%
- Bryn III: 35%
Increases the act rate of your pets skills or spells that apply buffs to you or debuffs your opponent.
- Call of Jord
- Jord II: +15% protect chance / -15% act rate
- Jord III: +30% protect chance / -30% act rate
Increases the chance of your pet protecting you, while also lowering their buff/heal/spell act rate and boosting act rate of some abilities with ward like ward of Ortanite.
- Ballad / Call of Idun
- Idun I: x%
- Idun II: x%
- Idun III: x%
Increases the chance of your follower using a healing skill or spell. (rarely ever used... Maybe in 2v2 / 3v3 live pvp??)
- Ballad / Call of Dumbr
- Dumdr I: 100%
Drastically reduces your pet act, making it unable to move. Acquired from the "Tamer" specialization this call is very niche. Used mainly in dungeons and party play to use multi turn spells such as "Divine Bastion".
(Note: where you see "x%" means it has been untested, "(#?)%" means it's assumed/estimated)
"Tempering" / "Beast Taming"
- Tempering
- Temper I: -15%
- Temper II: -25%
A temporary debuff that lowers your pet's overall "act rate" by (x)%. (Shown above in italics.) Both debuffs stack for a total of -40%.
- Beast Taming
- Followers deal (x)% less damage
A gear effect that reduces the damage your pet (and summons) deal to the wearer of the gear or adornments. This effect is mainly found from the "Fomorian House of Nocturna" gear and the armor adornment "Manticore Eye." The reduction percentages stack additively but, similar to status protection, cannot reach 100%. However, when combined with high defense or resistance, it can potentially "zero out" pet damage.
